Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 16, 2026

StickerDue(“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates stickerdue.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account data — email address, name (optional), and password (managed by Supabase Auth / OAuth provider).
  • Vehicle data — nickname, year, make, model, VIN (optional), vehicle type, inspection expiration month/year, and ZIP code for reminder purposes.
  • Shop claim data — if you claim a shop listing: your name, email, and a phone number to verify ownership.
  • Communications — messages you send us via email or support channels.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data — search queries (ZIP codes searched), shop profile views, booking-link clicks, and similar interaction events. This is stored at the aggregate/event level and is not linked to individuals unless you are signed in.
  • Log data — IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and timestamps collected by our hosting provider (Vercel) in server logs.
  • Cookies & local storage — used for session management (Supabase Auth) and to remember preferences such as your last search. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and improve the Service, including personalizing search results and sending inspection expiration reminders.
  • To verify and process shop claim requests.
  • To communicate with you about your account, reminders, or support requests.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
  • To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Service (analytics are anonymous or pseudonymous).

3. Reminder Emails & SMS

If you add a vehicle and enable reminders, we will send email notifications before and after your inspection expiration date. SMS reminders (when available) are opt-in and require phone verification. You can disable reminders at any time from your dashboard, or unsubscribe via the link in any reminder email.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers— Supabase (database & authentication), Vercel (hosting), Resend (transactional email), and Stripe (payments). Each provider processes data only as necessary to deliver their service and is bound by appropriate data processing agreements.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of StickerDue, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and vehicle data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Aggregated analytics data (not linked to you) may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access & correction — you can view and update your account information from your dashboard at any time.
  • Deletion — you may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@stickerdue.com.
  • Opt out of reminders— disable reminders in your vehicle settings or click “Unsubscribe” in any reminder email.
  • Cookies — you can configure your browser to block or delete cookies, but some features (including login) will not work without session cookies.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed authentication tokens, and least-privilege database access. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

9. Third-Party Links

The Service may link to shop websites, booking platforms, and other external services. These third parties operate under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their data practices.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
